Our Beliefs
THE BIBLE
We believe the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God without error; the only basis for our faith, doctrine, conduct and fellowship (2 Timothy 3:16).
THE TRINITY
We believe in One True God, eternal existence in three Persons. God The Father, God The Son and The Holy Spirit.
We believe that God the Father is the Creator of the world and of humanity. (1Corinthians 13:14, Genesis 1:1,26)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this world in flesh through virgin birth as Saviour of the world. Luke 1:26-27,31.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is continuing the work of Jesus upon the earth (Matthew 28:19). We also believe in The Baptism of the Holy Spirit - Acts 2:4; 10:44 and 19:1-6
SALVATION
We believe that Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sin. We believe that salvation is found only in Christ Jesus by placing our faith in His death and resurrection (Roman 5:8-9, 1 Timothy 2:5)
We believe that Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again to judge the living and death at his appearing. (Timothy 4:1)
WATER BAPTISM
We believe that water Baptism corresponds to the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and is the testimony of our faith in Christ Jesus our Lord through His resurrection.
We believe that through Baptism, we were buried with him into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so also we too will walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of his resurrection. (1 Peter 3:21-22 CSB, Roman 6:4-5).
COMMUNION
We believe that Holy communion is an act performed in remembrance of Christ sacrificial death on the cross for the sin of mankind. As commanded in the Bible, we do it as often in remembrance of our Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross in redeeming us from sin (1 Corinthians 11:24-25, Luke 22:19)
