WISDOM + UNDERSTANDING = LONGEVITY

By Pastor Samuel Saibu, Co-Founder/ Senior Pastor at TCOLG

Proverbs 9:10-11 (KJV)

(10)The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:

and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

(11) For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

The fear this passage is talking about is reverential fear of God. This is not a tormenting, agonizing or a dreadful sort of fear; but a fear associated with honor, and respect. It is the desire to honor and obey God in itself. It is the moral compass that guides the direction of our action. The Knowledge of the Holy One, informs us of His Omniscient and Omnipotent while also attesting to the infallibility of God’s words and the faithfulness of His promises. According to Charles Caldwell, “ thinking about the true God will not only expand your mind but affect your life” . It is important to remember that the fear of God, and the knowledge of the Holy One, are the driving force behind the multiplication of days, and longevity. By retaining this knowledge in your heart, you shall not die but live to fulfill your predestined purpose in the land of the living. In the name of Jesus.

Prayer: As you set out into this New Month, I pray for you that in divine wisdom shall you conduct all your affairs. Inconceivable success shall be your emblem in the mighty name of Jesus. The key of God that opened the door for this month, shall open every blessed door that your heart desires to be opened in Jesus name. Fear not! Step out with courage. Attempt greater things than you did last month with confidence in God; and you will be surprised that there is nothing impossible for you to achieve, when you link your hands with God’s. It shall be well with you in Jesus name. May God shine the light of His countenance upon you, and may the spirit of God Almighty, assist you in all you do. From this moment and beyond you will be blessed with long life, peace and prosperity, in the name of Jesus.
